ELECTRONIC SHELF LABELS FOR UK RETAILERS

Make shelf pricing part of a defined digital workflow. Electronic shelf labels provide an alternative to printed price tags, with the right combination of product data, label format and store setup.
Start with the product and price data

Identify where product names, selling prices and promotional information are maintained. Include unit-price fields where applicable. Define approval, label-to-product matching and how successful updates will be checked.

ESL packages from 50 labels

Our electronic shelf label quotations can combine labels, gateways, holders and management software in a package. The minimum ESL order is 50 labels. Unisoft handles the initial product-data entry. Subsequent updates can be managed by your team or through an additional paid service.

External-system integration in the UK

We do not currently offer electronic shelf label integration with external POS, ERP or other data systems for UK projects. Your quotation should therefore not assume an automatic connection to your existing pricing system.

Prepare a shelf-by-shelf brief for your UK shop

Electronic shelf labelling starts with the products and fixtures your colleagues work with every day. Count the required label positions, group shelves by mounting type and prepare sample product names, prices and promotional text. Compare digital shelf labels using that real information so that a compact label is not asked to carry more detail than shoppers can comfortably read.

For a supermarket, convenience shop or specialist retailer, agree who approves price changes and who checks the labels afterwards. Centralised digital price labelling still needs an accurate source and a clear update routine. As UK external-system integration is not currently offered, plan this work explicitly rather than assuming that a change at the till will automatically update the shelf.

Compare the complete electronic shelf label cost

When assessing an ESL quotation, review quantities and sizes alongside gateways, shelf holders, software and the proposed installation. The minimum order remains 50 labels. Include the setup fee, monthly or annual software licence, separately charged updates and technical support, and any paid data-maintenance service in the comparison.

A paid pilot can help your team review readability, product-to-label matching and the day-to-day update process before a wider rollout. Choose a representative section with the intended fixtures and product information. Confirm the exact label model and operating conditions for refrigerated or demanding areas; battery life and maintenance needs depend on the selected equipment and how it is used.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can UK ESL projects connect automatically to our POS or ERP?

We do not currently offer external-system integration for UK electronic shelf label projects. An automatic link to your POS, ERP or other pricing system should not be assumed.

Do electronic labels guarantee correct pricing?

No. Correct source data, approval procedures and verification remain necessary. Applicable price-display requirements must also be reviewed.

Can we see a relevant retail project?

Explore the Xiaomi project in Türkiye for its stated deployment context. It is an international reference, not evidence of a UK installation.

What can an ESL package include?

Our package quotations cover electronic shelf labels, gateways, holders and management software. The actual quantities and selected components are specified for the project.

What is the minimum electronic shelf label order?

The minimum ESL order is 50 labels.

Who enters the first product information?

Unisoft performs the initial product-data entry. Your team manages subsequent changes or can purchase an additional service for this work.

Who manages price changes after the initial entry?

Your team can manage subsequent product and price updates, or Unisoft can assist for an additional service fee. UK external-system integration is not currently offered, so the maintenance process should be agreed separately from your existing POS or ERP.

What happens to label content during an internet interruption?

The existing displayed information remains, but new updates are not received during the interruption. This does not mean that new prices or stock data continue to synchronise offline.

How is the ESL software licence paid?

Monthly and annual licence payment options are available, and a setup fee applies. Software updates and technical support are charged separately.

Can we start with a smaller ESL pilot?

A pilot can be discussed as a paid service. The minimum ESL order is 50 labels; the proposed pilot scope and charges are agreed separately.

What hardware warranty is provided?

The hardware warranty is at least two years. The applicable warranty period varies by product group.
